Most everything I draw has personal meaning or attachment. The artwork on this
card is definitely one of those pieces and, with it, I am sharing my love of an
old and sweet friend.

About the cover art (included on the back of the card along with a photo of
the real Bear)
For years we rescued and fostered adult Golden Retrievers that needed homes,
in part, through a local chapter of a Golden Retriever Rescue organization. One
of our big, furry babies used to love tennis balls and the only other thing he
loved more than that was us! He would chew up everything from shoes to “Kong”
dog toys but he would never chew up tennis balls. He swam with them and even
fell asleep with them in his mouth. Bear was 120 pounds of goofy love and I
thought about him the whole time I worked on this piece.
